This\u00a0was a very intensive week. But to be fair, it included Global Accessibility Awareness Day, for which I\u00a0really\u00a0wanted to get some things done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But let\u2019s look at things one by one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Thursday, we published our first blog post on accessibility. The German title translates to \u2018No digital offering is fully accessible\u2014how we want to change that<\/a>\u2019. It\u2019s 1,600 words long, and our comms colleagues did not even try to shorten it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The responses to a\u00a0character-limit-breaking LinkedIn post<\/a>\u00a0were very positive. In those additional 473 words, I\u2019m reflecting on our journey at DigitalService and my personal learning experience over the years. I am expressing my gratitude to many colleagues I had the chance to work with and learn from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Still very beta, we launched \u2018Wie viele Menschen?<\/a>\u2019, our version of the UK Department of Education\u2019s \u2018How many people?\u2019 tool<\/a>. They share function, format, and structure. But they do not share any code. Given both are open source and their source code is on GitHub<\/a>, this makes less sense.
