Talk: The power of community

Veröffentlicht am
Two speakers are presenting at a conference in front of an audience, with a large slide projected that reads, "Community work is delivery coordination." The text on the slide discusses the importance of collective sensemaking and good implementation in large service and policy areas. The room is filled with attentive participants, some taking notes. The atmosphere suggests a formal and educational setting.

Opening the Helsinki Conference 2024, Kara and I gave an update on last year’s long slog talk. We spoke about the power of community and how it can help us collectively deal with the long slog of government transformation.

The talk has 3 parts:

  • Recap of how the community was created and how it came together over the past 7.5 years
  • Overview of the symptoms and causes of the long slog of public service transformation, including 5 recipes
  • 5 core value functions of communities and how they help us deal with the long slog

The session was recorded and is available on YouTube.
