Service Design Drinks Berlin returned to a public-sector topic in its May 2026 edition. It took place at Wikimedia’s office in Berlin-Kreuzberg on 20 May 2026.

As part of 3 talks, Nadine Stammen discussed transforming legacy data into AI-ready public infrastructure – and what it takes to overcome the current obstacles to get there. She explained why service design is infrastructure work, and design is sense-making. Nadine is a senior designer at DigitalService des Bundes, working to make legal data openly accessible to everyone.

Other speakers included Adrian Gelepp and Simone Carrier from DigitalAgentur Brandenburg and Monika Molin from the Technical University of Wildau.

Only Nadine’s talk was recorded. It’s available on YouTube.
